Pristine Grace

Faith

Faith

Faith is not an achievement of the flesh, but a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8).  It does not naturally grow in the spiritual wilderness of the heart of a defiled sinner.  “All men have not faith” (2 Thessalonians 3:2).  Faith is granted in the new birth, a sovereign work of the Holy Spirit.  Faith, like all the fruit of the Spirit, is produced and maintained in the heart by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit within us.  To look to, lean on and commit yourself to Christ for everlasting salvation is the result of a work of grace within the heart.  Remember this, the Lord gives faith to whoever He wills.  Parents, by all means teach your children the Word of the Lord and have them sit under the gospel of His grace, but know this, none can give the ability to believe the Son of God except the sovereign Lord.
