Pristine Grace

An Impossible Scenario

An Impossible Scenario

This could never happen, but suppose God were to allow me into His holy heaven on the basis of my works.  Once there, I could never really be comfortable because I would always know that a mistake had been made.  I did not deserve to be there, and I would know that someday I would be expelled from heaven.  The fact is all I have ever merited is death, judgment, and hell.

If, however, I enter into the heavenly paradise on the basis of the Savior laying down His life in order to satisfy justice on my behalf, then this sinner, though guilty of infinite crimes in life against a holy God will enter into the gates of glory and abide with the Lord forever having confidence that I am there by free grace and the righteousness of my Savior.
