Sometimes the gospel of grace appears to be at a very low ebb and the believers so few, as in the case of Elijah. But while the elect of God are but a few compared to the mass of false professors and worldlings, yet we were not loved nor chosen because we are MANY, and we will not be rejected because we are FEW! The reason He loved us is found not in us, but in Him, and He keeps us for the same reason.
