What are we to do in this vale of tears as we ‘fight the good fight of faith’ as we run the race that is set before us with patience, as we lay aside every weight that so easily besets us so that we are not wearied and faint in our minds. The Scripture give us the pure and simple answer to that:

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)
