In my reading tonight in Romans...11:5-6 the explanation of grace vs. works, you know the one. If by grace, then is it no more of works, otherwise grace is no more grace....

I was overwhelmed by the thought that it is ONLY IN GRACE that we can begin to live a life of thankfulness! Truly, only in grace is this possible. To try and earn any merit by obedience outwardly...i.e. (otherwise known as works) is bitter medicine to a believer because it makes grace no more of grace, makes Christ of no effect!! Oh Lord, may it never be!
