Religion is Big Business

Religion in America is big business,
With scads of money, power and fame,
Where egos are inflated and positions coveted,
And the concern for success is the same.

Once the focus was on God's glory and truth,
But now it's all about making a sale,
Market-driven churches in utter abandonment,
Do whatever it takes to keep customers in their jail.

Be warned, for false doctrine and worldliness,
Always go hand in hand,
Where worldly ways lead the way,
And true Christianity is banned.

The modernists aimed not to destroy,
But to make Christianity more palatable,
But it cannot be done, for when it becomes acceptable,
It has ceased to be Christianity, truly terrible.
