Blood removes impurities from my cells that cause my body harm. My heart is the pump that moves that blood through my body removing impurities. And my heart beats by the grace of God. I don't consciously think of it at all.
In like manner, Jesus' blood is "continually cleansing me from all my sins." (1 John 1:7) And that too is by the grace of God with no effort on my part at all.
Blood brings life giving oxygen to my cells. Each cell is kept alive by the oxygen that the blood brings to that cell. And the blood is oxygenated by the lungs who breath by the grace of God.
In like manner the breath of God, the pneuma, the Spirit, oxygenates the blood of Christ and gives life to all of God's people. And we are kept "by the power of God" not breathing on our own, but by grace. (1 Pet. 1:5)
All the saving and all the keeping is of God, by His grace.
